Wayne’s Roofing is Awarded the Retro Award and Joins the “Two Million Dollar Club”
Wayne’s Roofing, Inc., received the Retro award from the Associated General Contractors of Washington (AGC) this July, making them part of the “Two Million Dollar Club.” This award recognizes their achievement of tracking Two Million dollars in workers compensation premium refunds due to their consistent outstanding safety and risk management practices over the years.

Wayne’s Roofing is one of only 10 companies in AGC Retro’s 21-year history to win this achievement.
This accomplishment is particularly impressive as they have consistently achieved lower than average experience modification premium rates at the same time.
Their last five years of EMR history is as follows: 2020 EMR .6322, 2019 EMR .5284, 2018 EMR .5508, 2017 EMR .5387, and 2016 EMR .5558.
As a long-time member of AGC’s Safety Team program and Retro program, their practices in terms of both safety and risk management are consistent. For Safety Team they undergo an annual paperwork and jobsite safety audit to ensure their program meets and/or exceeds Labor and Industries (L&I) requirements and is effective in practice.
A special thanks goes to Kathy Wilson, Operations Senior Administrative Assistant at Wayne’s since 1995. Her continued work with AGC/L&I is a large part of this success and recognition! Without her attention and persistence to claims management over the years this would not likely have been achieved.
AGC Group Retro is a retrospective premium-rating program. These are safety incentive-based programs, approved by the State Department of Labor and Industries (L&I), that provide employers with an opportunity to receive a substantial refund of their industrial-insurance premiums.
