Ashlee L'Italien Receives her Master’s Degree from Eastern Washington University
At the Eastern Washington University commencement, June 2024, Ashlee L’Italien, Assistant Controller for Wayne’s Roofing, received her Master’s Degree in Business Administration, with a focus on accounting.

“Since earning my Bachelor of Science in Economics from Georgia State University in 2015, I've had a personal goal to pursue a master's degree. However, life had other plans, leading me to prioritize family and work until 2022. It was then that I decided to apply to the master's program at Eastern Washington University, to deepen my understanding of leadership, business, and accounting.
Reflecting on the experience, I feel grateful for the opportunity and a sense of accomplishment. Despite the demands of pregnancy and caring for a toddler, and newborn, and the sacrifices of precious family time on weekends, I devoted countless hours outside of my workday to excel in my program. I would be lying if I said I didn’t think about quitting a few times. This path has been anything but easy.
As I prepare to graduate summa cum laude with a Master’s in Business Administration, with a focus on accounting, I am excited and relieved to have finally reached this personal milestone. I am fortunate to have the support from my husband, family, friends, and coworkers to keep me going. The journey has been hard, yet rewarding, affirming the value of perseverance and dedication in pursuit of one's goals.” —Ashlee L’Italien
